These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the FinLit mobile app ("FinLit," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
You must be at least 13 years old to create a FinLit account. By signing up, you confirm you meet this requirement.
Coins and other in-app items earned or spent within FinLit have no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged outside the app. Coins are earned entirely through gameplay — FinLit does not sell coins for real money. We may adjust, reset, or remove virtual items at our discretion, including to fix errors or prevent abuse.
When using FinLit, you agree not to:
FinLit's lessons, design, illustrations, and mascot artwork are owned by us or our licensors and are provided for your personal, non-commercial use of the app. You retain ownership of the display name and other information you provide, and you grant us a license to show it to other users as part of the app's social features (e.g., friends lists, leaderboards).
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using FinLit and delete your account at any time.
FinLit is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that educational content is complete or suitable for your specific financial situation.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FinLit and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any real-world financial decisions made after using the app's educational content or investing simulator.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
